About Us
Mission Statement
Together with parents, Rosewood is committed to educating the whole person with a rich curriculum and personal character formation and to encourage each student to cultivate intellect and character, leadership and service, faith and reason.
Our History
Rosewood was established in September 2010 by a group of parents and educators who came together because they saw a need for an integrated approach for the development of their children. Our school is one of three schools established by EDFAM, a non-profit corporate, whose focus is to offer families in the national community an alternative in the education of their daughters at the primary and secondary levels. Arbor is the co-educational Kindergarten and Trimont is the primary and secondary school for boys.
We chose as our model an individualized system of education followed by hundreds of schools across the globe. We maintain professional contact with some of these schools and actually work closely with an international organization called AYSE, Educational Consultant Services. This organization supports seven (7) schools in Venezuela which follow the same model as we do. They provide us with technical advice in the administration and delivery of our programmes in addition to providing vital training to staff.
The philosophy that guides the structure of our schools is that “Parents are the Primary Educators of their children”, in other words – family comes first. We offer students personalized education; this means we seek to develop all aspects of the person:

Our Philosophy
The Rosewood Philosophy is based on three fundamental principles:
- Parents are the primary educators of their children
- Underlying all the activities of the Schools is the unquestionable acknowledgement of the existence of God, of knowable, objective truth, and of moral absolutes. Rosewood facilitates students to pursue the truth in all they do, to love God and others selflessly, and to use their freedom responsibly.
- Because of their dignity, children deserve to be respected and loved for themselves and have the right to receive an education that will allow them to develop all of their potential.
